Being a self-taught artist always allowed me to explore many mediums. I started with drawing and painting in school and soon realized that I liked to work with my hands and moved into mosaics. I loved going to flea markets to look for different objects to incorporate into my designs. This is where I started to think about jewelry and how I could repurpose old jewelry, beads and silk into something new.
My necklaces are all handmade from semi-precious stones, beads, crystals, and recycled sari silk. They are all unique and one of a kind pieces.
The bracelets I'm making now are made from braided recycled sari silk. I added a few beads and small stones for embellishment. These come in an array of stunning colors!
I also have Portuguese Cork Bracelets. It is a renewable, sustainable, vegan and green alternative to leather. Very soft and comfortable to wear. The clasp are made from a blend of metals which is nickel and lead free.
I currently live in Asheville, NC where I am surrounded by mountains and nature. I enjoy being outside and seeing all the textures and colors which inspire me to create pieces that reflect this beauty. I love the challenge of experimenting with new and recycled materials and ideas.
